Alex Nagle
Alex Nagle joined the CEOP Centre shortly after its launch in April 2006, with a back-ground that includes over 24 years in public service. He has worked in a variety of roles including investigative work focused on tackling organised social security fraud, was private secretary to government ministers and most recently, as the first Director of Security Management for the NHS, pioneered a highly successful programme to drive down violence against staff in the NHS – a scheme that saw a 15 fold increase in prosecutions and reduction in assaults against staff.
Alison Findlay
At Bristol City Council, Alison coordinates the development of extended services with schools and partners in South Bristol and has recently taken on the lead for the development of the Common Assessment Framework across Bristol.
Paul Diamond
Paul Diamond is a Director with iMPOWER Consulting who are the largest independent consultancy working exclusively with local government. He currently leads their work on Children’s, Young People, and Families in areas such as: Prevention, LAC, SEN , Family Engagement (balancing efficiency with quality and safety); Performance Management; Transitions; Data Quality/Sharing; and Individual Budgets, and has recently worked with authorities including Norfolk County Council, the London Borough of Lewisham, and the Royal Borough of Windsor & Maidenhead. Other clients in the Children’s arena include Devon County Council, St Helen’s, Coventry, Hertfordshire, and DCSF on the Social Work Pilots.
Karen Ogle
Clair Pyper
Clair is Director of Education and Children’s Services in Slough. Originally from a social work background, Clair has worked in London, Suffolk and Essex, in all aspects of children’s services in local authorities and managing early years and childcare work at the DfES.
Deborah Ramsdale
I qualified as a Social Worker in 1986 and have worked exclusively in Children’s Services, specialising in Child Protection and Looked After work.

Caroline Budden
Caroline Budden joined Surrey County Council in May 2009 as the Assistant Director for Children’s Services and Safeguarding (formerly Head of Children’s Services). Caroline joined Surrey County Council from Medway Council, where she was the Assistant Director, Children's Care. Caroline’s career in social services spans 19 years and has included roles as Service Manager, Family Support Service Manager and Family Centre Manager. She started out in local government as a social worker following 10 years as an officer with Kent Police.

My name is Jacqueline Toft and I am the Deputy A.D/Senior Service Manager in Blackpool. I am a qualified Social Worker and hold a BA Hons in Social Work and the Child Care Award. I have post graduate qualifications in Public Service Management and Systemic Practice; I am an accredited Practice Teacher; Memorandum/ABE trained; and have many years experience in Social Work.
